“Three steps to your promise”
Pastor Andrey Shapovalov
In the life of every truly chosen Christian there will come periods that will determine who you are. Three steps or three tests, that will define you.
If you are chosen by God, if you want to enter your promise, you cannot skip these three steps.
(Genesis 26:17-22). Isaac departed from there, and pitched tents in the valley of Gerar, and dwelt there. And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father, and which the Philistines had filled up after the death of Abraham; and he called them by the same names that his father had called them. And Isaac's servants dug in the valley and found there a well of living water. And the shepherds of Gerar argued with the shepherds of Isaac, saying, “The water is ours.” And he called the name of the well Esek, because they argued with him. dug another well; they also argued about him; and he called his name Sitna. And he moved from here and dug another well, about which they no longer argued, and called its name Rehoboth, for, he said, now the Lord has given us a spacious place, and we will multiply in the earth.
1 Esek – Dispute. Do you know how to leave correctly without war or disputes? Never fight, even if you dug it, you built it, you finished it, and someone came to take it away. Remember, if it's not yours, you can't keep it.
Have you noticed people who are always in an argument with someone about their position, they always have to prove, defend, vote and agitate people to help them maintain their positions.
These people constantly behave like presidents in elections, who always need support and constant support. As a rule, these leaders are controlled by the people or someone from the outside, because their goal is to maintain their position, and not to achieve what God wants.
Never chase your calling; if it is your calling, it will chase you. As with David, he never chased, but on the contrary, he always avoided, but in the end he received. Or like Saul, who raced and tried his best to hold his position, but still lost. You will never keep what is not yours.
Believe me, this is where I was tested, when many years ago I began working with youth, the ministry grew, success came, and then a serious controversy came, and I had to give up and go dig further.
2 Sitna – Resistance. What do you do when you meet resistance? This is where God tests you and me, perseverance, whether you give up or not. God himself allows resistance into your life to see whether you will give up or go digging further; here you are tested for strength, because in the desert wells need to be dug deep.
Resistance only comes to those who have a great promise from God.
I generally cannot forget this moment in my life, when I opened my first church, success came, it was good and cozy, but after two years concrete resistance came, and I had to leave this well.
God took this well because I was spiritually connected with this ministry, the first church became dearer to me than God, it was my Isaac, whom I had to let go.
Believe me, I didn’t want to dig anymore, and it took five years to continue digging.
But when God came to me and said, now this is your well, OOO, believe me, I was completely dead to everything and everyone, I just dug this well, just out of love for my Savior Jesus, there was no more ambition.
3 Rehoboth - Expanse. This third sphere, when you enter your calling, take your positions, in this place, there are no more disputes, you begin to gradually spread and expand, and no one, with all their desire, can stop you, haters, persecutors and cursers will be forced to watch for your success...
And God Himself will make sure that everyone sees and knows your success.
I call this entering your natural gravity.
A real blessing from God is when you don’t try to hold back or beg anyone or anything else, it is assigned to you in the spiritual world.
Recognize your period, and don't give up until you dig your well.
May our Heavenly Father Bless you!
